Our offerings are catered towards students from Kindergarten to College Freshman and involve a fusion of the humanities and the sciences. We believe the best way to learn something is to apply it and as such, all of our opportunities are application-based.

Our bootcamps give students an in-depth opportunity to learn concepts that are normally taught at the university level, while our workshops serve as a fantastic introduction to a new subject. In order to make engineering education more accessible, our digital kits are always free to everyone and allow students to create something awesome. Volunteerships are offered to former students who are looking to volunteer their time and apply what they have learned for social good, as they intern for one of our clients.

Camp counselors are housed in nearby cabins within each unit.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Directors recruit and screen mature, qualified staff who have a desire to share their enthusiasm for camping, the outdoors, and arts. We also hire staff from other countries to give your camper the chance to broaden her understanding of other cultures. All camp staff participate in an intensive pre-camp training which includes program, first aid, CPR, camping, human relations skills and drug-testing.
Specially qualified staffers direct the archery, challenge course, ceramics, drama, dance and trip programs.

Most of the camp staff are college students studying education, sociology and outdoor recreation – among many others. All staff must be 18 or older.

GSACPC makes every effort to provide financial assistance so that no girl misses out on the opportunity to attend camp due to lack of funds. Financial assistance ranges from a portion of the fee to the total camp fee, minus the deposit, for those demonstrating need.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a wet darkroom facility, classroom, lighting studio, digital printing and scanning area, and an alternative photographic process area.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: In this workshop teen students explore the fundamentals and foundations of photography with fun photo projects every day!

Students will gain an overview of photographic techniques from digital capture and printing to using black and white film in the darkroom and historical processes.

Using both digital and film cameras, students will print in the digital lab and in the darkroom, and experiment with hand-coated alternative photographic methods. They will use the lighting studio to experiment with strobes and continuous lighting.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Arizona Science Center’s CAMP INNOVATION will inspire and engage curious minds about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning all year long. Camps vary throughout the year from biology, robotics to coding, there is a camp for ages 3-14.

Katerina Romanenko, Ph.D. Assistant Director of Youth and Family Programs

An experienced educator and visual culture historian, Dr. Romanenko specializes in Museum education, art history, American History, and object-based learning in formal and informal environments. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of New York and for more than 15 years teaches art history and works in Museum education. She also holds a BA in Education Sciences and has experience in research, development and implementation of educational programs for different age groups.

Alicia Mino, Art Educator, Manager of the School and Community Programs

An accomplished practicing artists and art educator, Alicia Mino received her Master’s in visual communication from the Metropolitan University of Chile, She spent fifteen years in Italy studying art history, oil painting, and sculpture. She presented in numerous art exhibitions and founded the Mates Art and Design Studio, where she taught drawing, oil/acrylic painting, and sculpture fundamentals for ten years. In 2008 Alicia moved to Philadelphia where she continues to exhibit her work and teaches art.

Lindsey Murphy, Art Educator and K-8 Program Coordinator

An art educator with over a decade of experience in the field of education, Lindsey Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology; concentration in Archaeology from Millersville University, and an Elementary Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She worked as a general education classroom teacher in the Oxford Area School District in Chester County, PA for 8 years, and has worked in PAFA’s education department over the past 11 years creating and implementing numerous museum tours and art making experiences for children and families of all backgrounds, becoming the K-8 Program Coordinator in 2019..

Melissa Hendrixson, Art Educator

Melissa Hendrixson is an artist and art educator who has worked in Museum Education for over five years. She has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Studio Certificate from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has gained experience through assisting the coordination and development of various museum programming including family programs, youth art classes, and summer camps. She now works for the School and Community Partnership Program as an art educator where she develops and implements museum tours, school lessons, and community outreach programs to support student learning, parental engagement and visual literacy initiatives.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 29 cabins, outdoor pool, dining hall, outdoor basketball courts/tennis courts, rustic amphitheater, smaller meeting room, challenge course, meadow, areas for campfires, outdoor meeting area, and a small pond on the property.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This will be our 74th summer!!

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Our facilities are available for rental groups during the off season. Activities available include our challenge course and horseback riding.

CAMP FACILITIES: One in-person camp will be held at the Georgetown Public Library in July 2025, located in Sussex County, DE.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Beginner coding skills are taught helping children learn sequencing and terms that grown up coders use everyday to create video games and more. Math and Science activities engage your child in learning and our ARTS program helps students understand how computer artists work in the field.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: This program can also be delivered through our TUTORING service by appointment during the summer.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Online camps such as summer, holiday and school break camps run for 2.5 hours and cost $55 for the session.
1-hour classes run all year long and currently cost $20 per class.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Participants will also have access to cutting-edge technologies like 3-D printers, laser cutters, and Arduino micro-controllers to elevate their projects. The camp’s project-based approach emphasizes problem solving, brainstorming, rapid prototyping, teamwork, and communication, culminating in the thrilling design and construction of a giant thematic chain-reaction machine! From 9 AM to 5 PM each day, participants will unleash their creativity and build lasting memories in this immersive STEAM adventure. In this exciting hands-on day camp for grades 7 – 10, participants will dive into the realms of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) as they explore concepts such as simple machines, electric circuits, programming and computational thinking, music, and storytelling. Participants will also have access to cutting-edge technologies like 3-D printers, laser cutters, and Arduino microcontrollers to elevate their projects. The camp’s project-based approach emphasizes problem solving, brainstorming, rapid prototyping, teamwork, and communication, culminating in the thrilling design and construction of a giant thematic chain-reaction machine! CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We have been teaching programming, robotics, Minecraft, and Game Design classes for over 14 years!

We believe learning should be fun and challenging! Learning through play and experimentation leads to long lasting understanding!

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We host monthly programming and game design tournaments year round!
